Small Groups (via Zoom)
We are still socially distanced and quarantined, but we can still encounter Christ and one another this Lent! For the past several years, parishioners (and friends outside our parishes) have reported experiencing a deeper communion with Christ, an awakening to Scripture, and profound new bonds of friendship as a result of Small Discipleship Groups. A variety of groups meet for six weeks (over Zoom this Lent) to pray with Scripture, take a look at how God is working in their daily lives, and gain support from a group of loving, Christ-centered people.
These are the groups currently on offer. Don’t see a group that fits you? Please reach out! New groups form when there’s a demand! Questions? Please contact Holly Mohr at hmohr@maryqueenofpeacepgh.org.
- East End Small Group (all ages, mostly people who live in the east end, but that part isn’t required!) - Meets: Saturdays from 1:00—2:30 p.m., Feb 13, 20, 27, March 6, 13, & 20
- Women’s Small Group (all ages) - Meets: Sundays from 1:00—2:30 p.m., Feb 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21, & 28)
- Young Adult Small Group (usually 20s and 30s, but very welcoming to all ages!) - Meets: TBA
- Xennial Small Group (Gen Xers, Millennials, young families with children potentially screaming in the background) - Meets: Fridays from 4:00—5:30 p.m. (Feb 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, & 26)
